A former mining centre, the town bustles with life at any time of the year. There is a wide range of shops
including a butcher, baker, pharmacy, greengrocer, hairdresser and a post office as well as a stocked Co-op and a Premier
stores (both of which are open from early morning until around 10pm).
There is also a library with internet access and, for the more active, a sports centre and a golf club with
fabulous views overlooking Cape Cornwall.
